International Schools Award

We have been awarded the Full International School Award three times from the British council which shows our commitment to Global Learning and becoming a world citizen.

We have been working in partnership with Living Star School for over 11 years. The school is in the capital city of Ghana which is called Accra.  10 members of Manor House staff have visited and taught at Living Star School during this time.  We have also been delighted to welcome 8 members of staff to visit and teach at Frodsham Manor House and our fantastic families have hosted 20 children which is always an amazing experience. Our project work with Living Star is through penpal cards, PSHE projects and comparing our cultures.

Over the last four years we have also been working with Red Roses School which is just outside Delhi in India. We do a lot of curriculum projects with them and they also hold the International School Award.  Mr Devereux-Roberts and Mrs Anstice were invited to visit for the first time in November 2017 and despite the heavy smog conditions (which meant the school was closed for most of our visit) had a wonderful time getting to know the staff and even attending a wedding. This visit also helped Mrs Anstice with her research on Global Learning in RE.  In 2018 we welcomed back two members of staff and four pupils to spend the week with us.

We also work with Westminster School, Sudan who help to develop our understanding of Islam.

Other international projects have also included working with a school in Sri Lanka and hosting associate teachers from Sweden.

Drummer the Fat Bird lives in our school grounds having completed a flying tour of Frodsham. She was commissioned as part of a project with a glass mosaic artist called Patricia Lee and represents the spirit of our friendship with Living Star.
