 Enrichment Opportunities

Fun House Link Club provide childcare before and afterschool from 7.30am until 6pm. The manager is Beci Palfreyman.

There is a wide range of Extra-Curricular Clubs on offer throughout the school year which are provided by staff or outside organisations.  Clubs operate on a term by term basis to provide a greater range of opportunities. The range of clubs we offer each  year by the staff often includes Lego, Inventors, Stamp Collectors, Film, Football, Hockey, Rounders, Multi Skills, Athletics, Choir, Art, Cross Stitch, Junior Chefs, Little Puddings, Cosmic Yoga, Science, Library, Forest School, Samba.

There are also a range of clubs with outside providers which you pay for including Mad Science, PDS Street Dance, PDS Cheerleading, Digital, Broadway Bound, Judo Education. These clubs can be before or after school as well as some offered as lunchtime activities.

Children who are involved with our annual Stars in their Eyes or the summer production will also be rehearsing after school.

We also believe in the value of residentials for our pupils for bonding, problem solving, risk taking and developing their personal confidences. As such over night stays start in Reception where they can take part in our whole school sleepover. Year 2 have a residential to Llandudno for a night where we have full use of the hostel and spend a day and a half exploring Llandudno including a tram ride up the Orme, being responsible for our own money on the pier, enjoying a Punch and Judy show, visiting a farm and time to have fun building sandcastles on the beach. Our next residential is to the Conway Centre (Menai) which is on Anglesey. Year 5 go for four days of outward bound adventurous activities including climbing, abseiling, forest school, zip wires, raft building and canoeing. Year 6 have 3 days in London including visits to major attractions including an open top bus tour, London Eye, a speed boat on the Thames, climbing to the top of St Paul's Cathedral, a musical theatre treat and sessions at Parliament to develop our understanding of democracy. In addition we have a bi-annual visit for Years 5 and 6 for five days to France and Belgium where we experience local culture alongside world war 1 and 2 history.  Have a look under the 'Events' tab for recent residential photographs.

All classes have Forest School Sessions which we really enjoy.

All Reception and KS1 participate in our annual Nativity. All KS2 take part in our summer production. Children audition for 'Stars in their Eyes' with 20 acts performing on the night. Each class also have a Talent Show for the whole school once a year.
